Abstract

At the end of January 2026, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the list of units selected for the major environmental protection technology and equipment innovation tasks

At the end of January 2026, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the list of units selected for the major environmental protection technology and equipment innovation tasks, with high-performance activated carbon adsorption and purification equipment being included as a key research direction. This move represents a systematic effort by the country to address key shortcomings in environmental protection equipment, aiming to drive industrial upgrading through technological innovation. It provides direction for technological research and development in the activated carbon industry, especially in complex working conditions such as deep purification of exhaust gas.

Meanwhile, a new industry standard directly related to activated carbon applications, titled "Code for Construction and Acceptance of Activated Carbon Dry Desulfurization and Denitrification Installation Engineering" (YS/T 5436-2025), was approved in July 2025 and will be officially implemented from February 1, 2026. This standard fills the gap in the field of activated carbon dry flue gas purification engineering standards both domestically and internationally, and its technical content reaches the advanced level in China. The standard regulates the entire process from equipment installation to system commissioning, and will effectively improve the engineering quality and operational reliability of activated carbon desulfurization and denitrification systems.

For Rongkai Activated Carbon, closely following the national innovation direction, paying attention to and participating in the research and practice of relevant standards, is an important way to enhance the technological competitiveness of products and increase market influence.
